About our Winter Pressure Washing services

When cleaning block paving, we try to remove as little sand as possible between the pavers. We do so by holding the lance at a distance of around 200mm (8 inch) from the block paving surface. If possible when pressure washing block paving, we use the lance at an angle of 45 degrees to the paving surface. By doing this, it allows the water to wash the paving without causing any damage. Once the cleaning process has been carried out, it is important to brush kiln dried sand back in between each of the paving stones to prevent them from moving. However, we ensure this is done when the paving stones are dry. Otherwise the sand will form in lumps and will not fall between each of the stones.

When cleaning decking or outdoor furniture, we hold the lance in the same way and work from left to right. We do this to ensure the whole area being cleaned is covered, including smaller gaps and spaces in the furniture. Once the wooden decking is dry, we suggest using a wood preservative to prolong the life of the timber.
