Spruce Up Your Garden For Spring!
Believe it or not, winter is ending soon, which means it’s time to get your plans ready for this year’s garden, whether you are dreaming of an outdoor oasis or just having a complete garden overhaul, we can help you!
With gardening, timing is almost everything, so it is good to be prepared for the up and coming growing season.
Now is the best time to prune your trees and shrubs, before new growth and warm weather can increase the risk of disease. It’s also a good time to divide perennials before plants have begun their spring growth. We can give you the reassurance this is done properly and efficiently, by doing this to existing trees and shrubs it will create a tidy and orderly garden, helping you to continue your garden maintenance with ease.
Getting your soil ready is vital when it comes to the life of your seeds, plants, vegetables and flowers. Your soil’s nutrient content needs to be right before planting, this can be checked with a soil test kit which will determine the PH level of your soil. Once checked, all planting can begin. We can take care of the manual labour side of things by breaking up soils, raking it through and aerating, to provide the perfect home for your new shrubs/plants etc.
When planting they will need to be matched to the environment that they’ll live in—the soil, lighting, and other climate conditions. You might also consider the plants that grow best together and the colours that will bring your garden to life, however if plant / flowerbed arranging isn’t for you, our horticulturalists can provide soil analysis, plant/ flower suggestions, ideas for flower bed layouts that will compliment your garden, and finish the service by planting them for you.
