COVID-19 Response

We want to update you on what Hislop & Co Horticulture is doing to help minimise the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), minimise disruption and offer a few words of comfort and reassurance to all of our valued clients.

We are following and monitoring the official guidance from the UK Government and we are doing everything that is required to ensure that we are supporting the health and wellbeing of our clients and staff members.

It’s business as usual here at Hislops.  We have robust business continuity policies in place to ensure that we can continue to operate.  Our residential and commercial maintenance teams are fully operational and will continue to be so during this period.

Bookings for additional or one off services can still be arranged at this time, but we appreciate there may be some reluctance to schedule additional services as this situation develops.

We have a great team and have discussed the current situation with them.  They are all on-board with continuing to work as long as the Government and Public Health England (PHE) allows us to do so.

We will all continue to follow appropriate guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of our clients and each other, but please let us know if you have any special requests and we will do our best to accommodate.  Additionally, I hope you will be reassured by the following steps we have taken to minimise the risk of the COVID-19 infection:

  • Our staff will not work if they have any symptoms of COVID-19.
  • All staff have been provided with hand sanitiser, hand wipes and soap.

 Our grounds teams:

  • will not enter client property or ask to use client facilities.
  • will implement ‘social distancing’ to a minimum distance of 2 metres where possible.
  • will wipe down any hard surfaces they come in to contact with during their visit.

Our office team:

  • will work from home where possible
  • will hold meetings via Skype or conference call where possible
  • will use hand sanitising stations which have been installed in our office and yard areas
  • will maintain high standards of hygiene throughout their working day

As a business built on professionalism, we have always provided a reliable and quality driven service.  However at this time, we would ask that clients work with us and give us the opportunity to change our visit days and times if necessary and in turn, we will look to offer you the same degree of flexibility.

The situation we all find ourselves in is unprecedented and totally unknown.  As the situation develops we will be posting important updates here.  Additionally, you can call the office on 01462 713333 or email myself at info@hislophorticulture.co.uk

In the meantime, we appreciate the continued support of our clients.

Best wishes

James Hislop, Managing Director
